Doing Chores By Chance

by gracebrooke

Are you bored with the same old routine of cleaning the bathroom on Thursday, cleaning the floors on Saturday, and washing the dog on Sunday? Spice things up a little and create a decorative jar filled with slips of paper, color coded by length: one hour, 30 minutes, 5 minutes, etc.. Each slip of paper has a chore on it. When time permits, pick a chore from the jar and get the job completed.

This works great for kids too! Do the same with chores that young children can do and have them draw from the jar. It offers an element of surprise and can make the dreaded tasks a little more fun!
